📅 June 3 · 1.1 launch 🎯 Hard pity 90 pulls ⚠️ Limited · no rerun

📖 Editorial · Should you actually pull on the Porsche banner?

The honest answer for most players is no. Here is the long version.

The NTE × Porsche 918 Spyder collab is structured very differently from a normal character banner. It is not a 90-pull pity that gives you a fully unlocked S-tier character with kit, signature weapon and a four-star pity stream. It is a sequential cost-per-pull system that caps at fifteen pulls, where each successive pull costs dramatically more than the last. The first pull is 50 Annulith. The fifteenth pull is 2,200 Annulith. Cumulatively, going from pull one to pull fifteen costs 12,980 Annulith — roughly four months of free-to-play Annulith income, all to guarantee a single vehicle.

That structure exists for a reason. Porsche AG, like most luxury brands that license to games, does not let publishers price the collab item like an ordinary banner. The escalating cost-per-pull lets Hotta market the early pulls as "affordable" while reserving the actual guaranteed pull for whales who can absorb a 2,200 Annulith spike at the end. In gacha terms, the early pulls are a free trial; the late pulls are a hidden wall.

Three groups should pull, and three should not

Pull if you're a serious car collector who has been waiting since the soft-launch tease, if you have over fifteen thousand Annulith stockpiled and no urgent character banner in the next two patches, or if you spend on the game monthly and the visual identity matters to you. The 918 Spyder is genuinely cosmetically unique — there is currently no equivalent vehicle silhouette in the game, and the no-rerun confirmation means this is your only window.

Skip if your priority is competitive endgame strength, if you have fewer than nine thousand Annulith available, or if you have not yet pulled the launch S-tier characters you actually use in your team. Vehicles in NTE do not unlock combat power; they unlock mobility and cosmetic flair. The Porsche is faster in Car Battle Royale, but Car Battle Royale rewards are mostly cosmetic. None of the Anomaly Raid clear leaderboards have a 918 Spyder on the winning team, because the leaderboards don't care about vehicles.

How the free-to-play math actually works

Looking at confirmed CN livestream rewards for 1.1, a fully active F2P player who completes every event, redeems every preview code, and clears the version main story can expect roughly nine thousand two hundred Annulith of free income across the 35-day banner window, plus around twelve million Fons of free currency, plus a twenty-pull free voucher specifically tied to the Porsche banner. If you spend the free voucher pulls first (twenty pulls), then continue with Fons-priced pulls for the cheap early tier and switch to Annulith for the expensive late tier, the optimal F2P play actually gets you somewhere between five and seven full pulls — short of the 15-pull guarantee but enough to test whether the rolling-RNG drop hits in your favor.

The trap to avoid

The biggest mistake here is treating the 918 Spyder like a character banner and trying to hit hard pity at fifteen pulls regardless of your stash. Many CN beta players burned their Annulith chasing the guarantee, then found themselves under-funded for Chaos in Phase 2 of the patch. Chaos is a top-tier limited character with a fourteen-day banner window. The Porsche is a vehicle. Choose accordingly.
